Jeremy Marshall (Anderson lab) passed his MSc defence on October 31, 2017. His thesis is titled: "Structural analysis of the p85 BH domain in complex with binding partners and impact of mutations".
The research program of Dr. Xiang was featured in the October-2017 Issue 4 of "Research for Health", a magazine produced by the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation.

Congratulations to Chelsea Cunningham (Vizeacoumar Lab), the recipient of a Lisa Rendall Breast Cancer Graduate Student Scholarship, a two-year award. Chelsea's project is titled: “Exploiting the synthetic dosage lethal interactions of polo-like kinase 1 for breast cancer therapeutics”.

Jeremy Marshall (Graduate student in the Anderson lab) won the Louis Delbaere prize for the best poster with experiments performed at the Canadian Light Source at the Protein Structure, Function and Malfunction conference held in Saskatoon on June 15-16, 2017. The title of his poster is "X-Ray Crystallographic Analysis of the p85 BH Domain". Congratulations!

The fourth Saskatchewan Cancer Research Conference was held June 14, 2017 in Saskatoon, with 108 registered participants from a wide range of disciplines in attendance. This conference recognizes and promotes the excellent cancer research within the province and provides valuable learning and networking opportunities for the participants.

Dr. Kalpana Bhanumathy (Vizeacoumar lab) was awarded a College of Medicine Post-Doctoral Fellowship for one year. The title of her project is "Identification of therapeutically relevant targets for prostate cancer."
